Calculator: PT100/500/1000/2000

This tool calculates the temperature of a platinum detector RTD into resistance and vice versa.

RTD detector's resistance depends on the detector's temperature. In case of platinum detectors the resistance rises with the rise of temperature. There are few classes of platinum detectors, for example PT100, PT500, PT1000 and PT2000. Number in the detector's name indicates the value of resistance at 0°C.

1. Determining the resistance based on the detector's temperature:
punktor Choose the type of a detector with buttons PT100/PT500/PT1000/PT2000 on the right hand side of the screen
punktor Type in the temperature (in °C) into the Temperature window
punktor The calculated value of detector's resistance will be displayed in the Resistance window
1. detector's resistance as a function of temperature:
Temperature   °C
Resistance   ohm

Select type of sensor:

2. Determining the temperature of the detector based on its measured resistance:
punktor Choose the type of a detector with buttons PT100/PT500/PT1000/PT2000 on the top of the screen
punktor Type in the detector's resistance into the Resistance window
punktor The calculated value of detector's temperature will be displayed in the Temperature window
